Trance medium Daan Akkerman
Daan (Daniel) Akkerman was born and raised in Westerlee, a little village in beautiful East Groningen, in the Netherlands. He still lives and practices as a psychic there. He is also the trance medium for the Esoteric Society.
As a little boy of 4 years old, he already had paranormal experiences. Around the bodies of his kindergarten teacher and his fellow students, he saw a shining, transparent, colorful glimmer, known as the aura. Obviously, he wasn’t aware of his gift, but as he got older the observations started to intrigue him, especially after he discovered that his friends at school couldn’t see the aura and absolutely didn’t know what Daan was talking about.
When he was about nine years old, he saw a shining, pillar-shaped appearance that emanated a lot of love and gave a warm feeling of recognition. Increasingly, this phenomenon appeared and Daan found a way to communicate with the spiritual visitor. When he would ask a question to him in his thoughts, he got a short answer, loving and fully understanding. The first contacts with the spiritual world had been established.
After high school, Daan decided not to go to college and start his own business. His interest in antiques and contact with people eventually led him to opening an antique business with a colleague antique trader and starting an inn together with his girlfriend. In conversations with people who initially were looking for antiques, it often happened that Daan mentioned events about to happen.
Predictions came true and it didn’t take long for people to come exclusively for a consultation. The antique trade went on the backburner and ultimately disappeared. Daan didn’t have time for it anymore. Ever more appointments were made for consultations, from the Netherlands and abroad.
In 1986, then 29 years old, Daan was approached by a couple to establish dating and country of origin of some paintings via psychometrics. During this consultation, all kinds of questions were asked which Daan automatically answered. The first trance was a fact. Daan did not remember afterwards, but the others had clearly talked to an entity.
At the second trance, there was recording equipment present. The whole session was recorded and Daan could listen to the conversation and the spiritual world afterwards, including the following message:
"We are innumerable, we are the White Brotherhood. One day, we will be many. You will spread our messages for the New Age via radio and television and writings, domestically and abroad. In total, your organization will have about 250 members."
